Movies for the Week of June

Good things happening this week:

Monday:
The Glass House at BAM. Iranian documentary about girls in a rehabilitation center. With a Q&A with the director.

Tuesday:
Hasan and Morcos at Tribeca Cinemas. Egytian satire about religious intolerance! with Adel Imam, to boot. I am very excited about this one.

Also, did you know there was a Tribeca Film Festival in Doha? I just stumbled onto it while looking for the Tribeca Cinemas page. Info about it here.

Wed.
Good fortune at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. A documentary about aid to Africa--and its unintended consequences. I would probably learn a lot from this one. It's part of the Human Rights Watch Film Festival.

Empty Pockets Alert (free stuff):

Monday night:
Breaking Away at the HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival. I love coming of age films!
