..and there is a lot to see.
Make yourself happy..catch the Steve McQueen Retrospective at the Film Society of Lincoln Center. You know you want to. I am the most excited about The Towering Inferno--the "biggest disaster mega-hit of all time".
For something a little more serious, get thee to the Anthology Film Archives on Sunday for Burnt by the Sun. You will thank yourself, and you will have a haunting melody stuck in your head for the rest of the week. Need even more Russian? And wouldn't mind seeing an opera? Then check out Eugene Onegin at Symphony Space
And now for something a little different: on Saturday night hop on the F train (or N,Q, or D) and make your way down to Coney Island. Go to Lola Staar's Dreamland Roller Rink for Flashdance Night. What a feeling! (and you know, on Memorial Day proper, they have a Morissey night. Morrissey!!)

Perhaps you should see "Rashomon" when it plays at the Film Forum starting 5/29.
