Lots of Hitchcock this weekend, with Marnie at BAM (3 shows on Saturday) and Vertigo at the Rubin Museum (Friday *tonight!* at 9:30). I am intrigued by the Rubin Museum's Mirror, Mirror series where we
" look at cinematic portraits that also make their influence felt beyond time, but rarely with the same compassionate results." Hmm.
While I'm in the neighborhood of BAM, I think I will sneak over to see the Cake Man Raven for a slice of deliciousness. It is a must.
Also, tonight is the opening night for the Rooftop Films summer series--"underground movies outdoors". I haven't been to any of these yet, but I would like to at some point. There will also be live music by Cymbals Eat Guitars. it looks like advance tickets are sold out, but tickets will be available at the door starting at 7 pm.
And now, for something cornier: the Grease 2 Sing-Along at the 92Y Tribeca. $ 13 gets you admission plus one beer. You may need more than one beer for this show!
